General description, scope and objectives of this webinar
The programme of this webinar will cover the radiologic workflow of salivary gland tumours, from initial ultrasound evaluation to advanced multiparametric MRI techniques for tissue characterization and differential diagnosis. Special emphasis will be placed on MRI-based lesion characterization, including morphologic, diffusion-weighted (DWI) and dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) parameters, as well as integration with cytology and clinical findings. It is aimed at head & neck radiologists, radiologist residents/juniors, students and people who are interested in the ESHNR diploma who want to improve their skills in:
– Systematic radiologic assessment and reporting of salivary gland tumours
– Differentiation of benign and malignant lesions using multiparametric MRI features
After watching the webinar, participants will be able to
– Understand the stepwise radiologic workflow from ultrasound to advanced MRI in the evaluation of salivary gland tumours
– Apply key multiparametric MRI techniques (DWI, ADC mapping, DCE-MRI) to distinguish common benign and malignant salivary gland lesions
– Recognize characteristic imaging patterns of frequent tumour types
