Homepage: www.esho2018.euThe Annual Meeting of the European Society for Hyperthermic Oncology is a high-level conference of the leading experts in the field of hyperthermic oncology. It will be hosted by the European Society for Radiotherapy & Oncology and the European Society for Hyperthermic Oncology. In 2018, the conference will take place in Berlin, and just as the multicultural character of the city works like a magnet for people from around the world, the event is meant to attract many experts from different countries. The aim of this meeting is to learn about the latest findings in scientific research, and academic and clinical knowledge concerning hyperthermic oncology. In addition to that it constitutes a perfect opportunity to establish a facilitating network with other scientists working in this interdisciplinary field. Thermal medicine is a dynamic area, which includes and extends to topics of radiation oncology, medical oncology, thermoablation, surgery, biology and medical physics. Clinicians, clinical scientists as well as biologists, physicists, and engineers are invited to attend this event. The scientific programme will consist of a number of sessions in which reputable experts will present their latest findings, put them up for discussion, and share their experiences. The scientific focus of the conference will be the treatment of abdominal tumors using hyperthermia and the conference will also feature the use of hyperthermia for other cancer sites ranging from moderate temperature increase to thermoablation as well as associated biological mechanisms and recent technological developments.Hosting societies: European Society for Hyperthermic Oncology (ESHO), European Society for Radiotherapy & Oncology (ESTRO)

On behalf of the European Societies of Cardiovascular Radiology and Thoracic Imaging, it is our great pleasureto invite you to join us in Switzerland for the very first joint meeting in the fields Cardiovascular and ThoracicImaging.The meeting will be held in Geneva, from 24th to 26th May 2018, at the Centre International de ConférencesGenève (CICG). The conference centre will provide optimum convenience and comfort for our meeting.The centre is ideally located just off the Place des Nations, home to the European headquarters of theUnited Nations, and within easy reach of Geneva Airport and Geneva main train station. The World HealthOrganization (WHO) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) are within a few minutes walk.The scientific programme will focus on all aspects of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Imaging, with an emphasison lively inter-disciplinary discussion. We will review current best clinical practice and explore futuredevelopments in our field. We will offer sessions with the WHO on radiation protection and justification ofmedical imaging and a large number of joint sessions of the two Societies, with a blend of standard formatsand subjects and novel approaches, which we hope you will find stimulating and enjoyable.The programme will encompass state-of-the-art scientific presentations; lectures on molecular imaging, CT,MRI, interventional radiology, leadership and management, medico-legal issues, teleradiology and Big Data;inputs from cardiologists and pulmonologists on how imaging helps plan and monitor patient treatment andfollow-up. Poster sessions and popular “hands-on” courses will take place throughout the meeting.
